Yorkshire Dales Local Food Map Study results online
The publication, written by Rose Regeneration, in consultation with the Yorkshire Dales LAG and local community, highlights the opportunities in the dales for developing further the market for local food and expanding the "Dales is best" market. In an easy to read format, it is an excellent resource for developing producers and individuals looking for new ideas. Also included are the contact details of many of the organisations that helped shape this research. This is not meant to be a definitive "Food Map" for the Yorkshire Dales LEADER area (a task that to paraphrase the consultant could be likened to painting the Forth Road Bridge - you'd reach the end and have to go back and start all over again altering details). It is a snapshot in time to give a resource of ideas, best practice and potential. This publication is the beginning of further LEADER involvement around local Food; all enquiries are welcome.
