A Community Led Approach to Sustainable Rural Development

 

Yorkshire Dales LEADER Programme has been set up to build a sustainable community and economy that capitalises on the area’s environment, landscape, culture and heritage.

Latest LEADER Panel December 2009

 The Heritage Volunteering Project, facilitated by Nidderdale AONB, receive LEADER support to champion the conservation and enhancement of the heritage and environment. Burnsall Village Hall receives over £80,000 to develop community facilities. Other projects to receive funding are Keld Heritage Centre development and Caring for the Parish Information and Support project which will be run by Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to assist the Parish Caretakers Scheme.

Nearly £680,000 has already been allocated by LEADER since its launch in June 2009. If you have a project idea that might be financed through LEADER the next deadline for applications is March 5th 2010.
