Settle Riverside Phase 2

This project is phase 2 of a partnership between YDMT, Craven DC, NYCC and Yorkshire Forward to transform the riverbank between Kendal Bridge and Kendalmans Lane near Kings Mill.
Lower Wensleydale Aiming High
£76, 534 was awarded to the Leyburn and Mid Wensleydale Business Association to appoint a development worker and raise the profiles of Leyburn, Middleham and their hinterlands based on a three year rolling programme.
Bentham Youth Cafe Community Youth
£10,199 was awarded to purchase equipment for the Bentham Youth cafe group to install in the newly refurbished Community Centre in Bentham.
Sowing the Seeds - A LEADER inter-territorial project

YDMT and the Yorkshire Dales National Park currently run the Hay Time Project, which works to protect the remaining species-rich meadows and to restore botanical diversity to degraded meadows.
Thornton Steward Village Green Improvement
The parish council were awarded £7440 to address the problem of erosion at the edge of their village green.
Local Food Scoping Study
This is a commissioned study from the Local Action Group to identify the scope for a Yorkshire Dales LEADER wide approach to delivering community driven local food initiatives.
Wensleydale Tournament of Song
The Wensleydale Tournament of Song was formed in 1898. Funding was awarded to record all of the archive material collected by the volunteer committee.
Art Geocache

This project aims to develop a new cultural tourism initiative for North Yorkshire by drawing on the developing hi-tech treasure hunt format of ‘geocaching’, based on people using GPS (Global Positioning System) devices to locate hidden items and share the experience of searching for and finding their ‘caches’ online.
